About

Hi, I’m Mike Gregoire. I’m an enterprise technology professional and Programmer Analyst at Stephen F. Austin State University. My current work centers around enterprise applications, reporting, finance-related systems, automation, data quality, internal tooling, and workflow improvement. I have a B.S. in Computer Science from University of the People and completed the IBM Data Engineering certificate. My background combines software development, systems analysis, reporting, technical support, process improvement, and hands-on infrastructure experience. This site started as a student portfolio and programming blog. I’m now updating it into more of a technical field journal: a place to document what I’m learning, what I’m building, and how my thinking is evolving around software, automation, homelab infrastructure, data workflows, and AI experiments. Some of the topics I expect to write about include:

  • Python projects and internal-tool patterns
  • reporting, data cleanup, validation, and automation
  • homelab infrastructure and self-hosting
  • development workflows, testing, Git, and containers
  • AI companion experiments like Deskling / Glitch
  • retro computing and programming history
  • lessons learned from building systems that need to be maintained The older posts are staying here because they are part of the path. They show where I was when I started learning in public. Going forward, the site will better reflect where I am now: building practical systems, improving workflows, and documenting experiments as I go.
